Programs On-Line: Swim Lessons - Large Group

Our Aquatics program is a 10 week session. Note: All swim lessons  "sell out"  fast, so register IMMEDIATELY!    MEMBERS MUST REGISTER FOR CLASSES. All Classes start the week of March 18th.  Member internet sign up starts on Feb 25th. Member sign up phone or in person starts on Feb 28th. Non-Member phone or in person sign up starts on March 7th  @ 9am, but our Early Bird ONLINE ONLY registration starts March 4th for Non-Members.

Adult Beginner 1

·Ages 15 years & up. No previous instruction required. Learn the basic strokes and breathing mechanics. Feel safe and secure around the water.   45 minute class

 

Adult Beginner 1 (Women only)

·Ages 15 yrs & up. No previous instruction. Learn the basic strokes and breathing mechanics. Feel safe and secure around the water. 45 minute class

 

Adult Beginner 2

Ages 15 & up. Students in this class should be comfortable in the water.

 

Adult Beginner 2 (womens only)

Ages 15 & up. Students in this class should be comfortable in the water.

 

Level 1

·Ages 5 - 10 yrs. For students who are brand new to the pool, fearful, or not swimming independently. Students will learn floating techniques as well as gain the ability to swim half way without floatation.    45 min. class

 

Level 2

Ages 5 - 12 yrs. For students who can swim independently half way on their front and back. Students will gain the ability to swim full lengths on their front and back and learn the basic swim techniques   45-minute class.

 

Level 3

Ages 5 -12 yrs. Students must be able to swim independently, full length of the pool without floatation, on their front and back.  This class will focus on freestyle and backstroke and introduce rotary breathing.   45 min class

 

Level 4

 Students must be able to swim rudimentary freestyle and backstroke with rotary breathing the full length fo the pool.  This class will focus on breast stroke and elementary backstroke, introducing dolphin kick.

 

Level 5

·Ages 5 - 12 yrs. Students must be able to swim proficient freestyle and backstroke, rudimentary breaststroke and elementary backstroke.  This class will focus on butterfly and building endurance as a swimmer.   45-minute class.

 

Pre-school Splash 1

Ages 4 to 5 yrs. Children will learn the basics of swimming as well as gaining comfort and confidence in the water.   30 min. class

 

Pre-school Splash 2

Ages 4 to 5 yrs.  Children must be confident and comfortable in structured lessons.  Students will begin to decrease the need for floation and focus on learning the basics to freestyle.   30 minute class.

 

Stroke Mechanics 2

Ages 8 yrs & up. Students must be able to swim freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.  This class will focus on perfecting the technique to each stroke, flip turns and pull outs.   45 min class

 

Stroke Mechanics I

·Ages 8 yrs & up. Students must be able to siwm freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.  This class will focus on developing proper technique to enhance stroke efficiency, as well as build endurance.   45 minute class

 

Swim Fit (12 - 15 yrs)

 Students must have passed level 5.  For the teen who wants to continue swimming without competition or just for a great workout.  Students will meet with a coach who will help improve their endurance and efficiency through different workouts each day.  Students will learn how to create their own swim workout while having fun.

 

Swim Team Prep

Ages 8 yrs & up. Drilled the same way as swim team, this class is designed to get you ready to join the team!  This class will focus on perfecting their racing technique, increasing their speed, and building long term endurance.  Students must  be able to swim a minimum of 8 lengths of each stroke. 45 min class

 

Swimfants

Ages 6 months to 1 1/2  yrs. (Parent required in the pool) Water familiarization at an early age.  Bubbles and kicking made fun as your child learns to respect the water with you. Great bonding experience. 30 minute class.

 

Swimfants/You and Me Toddler

Ages 6 mos. - 4 yrs.  This program is a combination of Swimfants and You & Me Toddler listed above. This program requires a parent in the water with the child.

 

Teen Beginner

Ages 8 - 15 yrs. For youth swimmers that cannot swim independently. We will work on building confidence, floating with and without assistance, freestyle, elementary backstroke and backstroke will be introduced, as well as proper breathing mechanics.

 

Toddler Splash

·Ages 2 1/2 - 3 years. This intro class will focus on water adjustment , building confidence, and teach independence in the water. Prior experience in You and Me Toddler recommended.  30 min class

 

You & Me Toddler

Ages 1 1/2 to 4 yrs. (Parent required in the pool) You and your child will have fun learning the basic fundamentals of swimming as well as how to remain safe around water.    30 minute class.
