Programs On-Line: Kidsports

Our Kidsports programs offer a well-rounded variety of fun and fitness that will help to increase your child's physical fitness development. Our objective is to promote healthy fitness through enjoyable fitness activities.
Classes are for 10 weeks starting March 18th. MEMBERS MUST REGISTER FOR CLASSES. Member internet sign up starts on Feb 25th. Member phone or in person starts on Feb 28th. Non-Member sign up starts on March 7th phone or in person @ 9am, but our Early Bird ONLINE ONLY registration starts March 4th for Non-Members. ****PLEASE SPECIFY AGE WHEN REGISTERING****

$15.00 FEE TO SWITCH CLASS AFTER SESSION STARTS, CAN NOT SWITCH OUT OF A FULL CLASS

Badminton for Kids (7 - 12 yrs)

 Learn the basics of Badminton. This sport is fun, easy to learn and can be played anywhere. Equipment supplied, wear comfortable clothes and sneakers.   All levels

 

Ballet (6 - 9 yrs)

This class will provide  instruction on ballet body positions and steps. Focus will be on flexibility, coordination, balance and direction.

 

Ballet/Tap Combo (4 - 5 yrs)

Children will learn barre and floor combinations for both ballet and tap.  Music and props will be used to create a fun filled experience.
 

 

Baseball/Softball Skills (6 - 8 yrs)

Children learn the basic throwing, fielding and hitting techniques using indoor equipment. Drills to improve hand-eye coordination. Builds self confidence and is fun. Bring your own glove.

 

Basketball (6 - 8 yrs)

· For the older child  just starting out.  This class will teach Basketball fundamentals.  Taught on regulation height baskets. 50 minute class.

 

Basketball (4 - 5 yrs)

We teach all the basic rules & skills. Kids learn to dribble, pass and shoot. Time allotted at the end for scrimmaging to put instruction to use.

 

Basketball (8 - 12 yrs)

For the older child just starting out. This class will teach Basketball fundamentals. Taught on regulation height baskets.

 

Basketball for Teens (13 - 15 yrs)

 Teens will build and develop basketball skills and use them during scrimmage.

 

Broadway Drama (7 - 13 yrs)

***NEW***  From Lion King to Grease, your child will experience a dramatic opportunity to let their own dramatic abilities come alive in a positive manner.  In this class the kids will use music, rhythm, words and props to create a dramatic show.

 

Cartooning (4 - 10 yrs)

 Kids will have fun learning how to draw their favorite characters using colored pencils and markers.  Your child will learn how to draw basic shapes and add lines to create an amazing variety of popular characters.

 

Cheerleading/Tumbling (5 - 9 yrs) level 1

Children will learn how to stretch prpoerly, develope strong muscles, flexibility and balance. Short cheers and dances will be taught with beginner cheer jumps and motions. Students will learn beginner skills such as forward rolls, handstands, bridges and cartwheels. Please wear sneakers and athletic clothing. Tie long hair up.

 

Cheerleading/Tumbling (5 -9 yrs) level 2

Children will stretch, develope strong muscles, flexibility and balance. Students will learn how to properly perform cheer jumps, cheers and dance routines with cheer motions. Students will be able to advance their tumbling skills to more intermediate skills such as; one handed cartwheels, backbends, back walkovers, front walkovers and much more! Classes are kept small to make sure each child gets the personal attention they deserve. Students must be able to do a bridge and a cartwheel. Students must wear sneakers and athletic clothing.  Please tie long hair up.

 

Confident Cardio Kids (6 - 12 yrs)

 ***NEW*** This program combines a cardio workout with strength and flexibility exercises for children who need time away from technology.

 

Fit Fun Kids (3 - 5 yrs)

***NEW***  Using imagination while we dance, exercise, run and jump to upbeat music. Your child will become more confident and healthy while having FUN. 

 

Intro to Cheerleading/Tumbling (3 - 4 yrs)

 Children will learn how to stretch properly; develope strong muscles, flexibility, balance and self-reliance. Beginner skills will be introduced, such as forward rolls, leaps and turns along with short routines with cheer motions! Please wear sneakers and athletic clothing and tie long hair up.

 

Junior Racquetball 1 (Beginner)

.Ages 7 to 11 years. Learn to play racquetball in a fun atmosphere. This program will help develop hand/eye coordination, gross motor skills, and increase flexibility while having fun and burning energy. All court equipment is supplied including protective eye wear. Students are required to wear laced court sneakers. 50 minute class

 

Junior Racquetball 2 (Intermediate)

Ages 7 - 15 years. Sharpen your skills in racquetball. This class is for those who have taken Racquetball I, and have learned the basic skills and are ready to move to the next level. Note: Students must have taken Racquetball I and have been moved up by the instructor. If you are a new student, you may placed in this class after being evaluated by the instructor. 50 minute class

 

Krafty Kids (4 - 8 yrs)

***NEW*** If they love to paint, color, glue and design their own masterpieces, let them jion us for an exciting class of inspiration and fun.  New project every week.

 

Peewee Racquetball

·Ages 5 - 6 yrs. Fun activities geared to teach the game of racquetball, develop footwork and eye hand coordination too. 50 minute class.

 

Pound for Kids (8 - 12 yrs)

***NEW*** This cardio workout for kids is inspired by the fun of playing the drums in a rock band. Think "School of Rock" meets P.E. class!  POUND for kids is a fitness program that combines cardio conditioning strength and Pilates training and drumming.

 

Soccer (4 - 5 yrs)

***NEW***  Sharpen basic skills through advanced drills and games based on personal technique as well as principles and concept of team structure.  Students must have taken Soccer I and been promoted by the instructor.

 

Soccer Skill (Ages 8 - 12 yrs)

BEGINNER CLASS for the older child.  This class teaches youngsters the fundamentals of soccer. Essential skills as dribbling, passing and shooting are covered in instructional section. Scrimmage time for practice included.

 Teaches youngsters the fundamentals of soccer. Essential skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting are covered in instructional section. Scrimmaging time for practice included. 50 minute class.

Beginner - . This class teaches youngsters the fundamentals of soccer. Essential skills as dribbling, passing and shooting are covered in instructional section. Practice/scrimmage time included. 50 minute class.

 

Sports Sampler (4 - 6 yrs)

 Children will develope skills such as passing, catching, hitting, kicking, jumping and throwing, while learning to play baseball, football, soccer, basketball, hockey, tennis and more.  Perfect for the beginner player that wants to experience it all.

The Drawing Club (4 - 10 yrs)

    This class will introduce your little one  to the joy of drawing!  Their drawings will be made easier using basic shapes and accents together with primary colors.  One week  they might draw an animal, another week it may be an insect.  Every class they will look forward to creating another "masterpiece".  Children will work at their own pace.

 

Watercolor (6 - 12 yrs)

Learn to create watercolor pictures by learning different watercolor techniques.   Subject matter may include a floral bouquet, beach scene or underwater scene.  45 min

 

Yoga for Teens (13 - 15 yrs)

 Physical health and mental well-being are essential components to happy living.  Teen classes combine yoga poses, different breathing techniques, and guided meditation for building internal and external strength.  Teen Yoga classes are suitable for all levels and everyone is welcome.

 

Yoga Kids (7 - 12 yrs)

 Your child will be encouraged to explore and discover their personal power through yoga.  This will build confidence, body/mind awareness and create self esteem.

 

Zumba for Kids (5 - 7 yrs)

Kids will dance to Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create an exciting and dynamic atmosphere. They'll have so much fun, they won't even know their exercising!! 50 minute class
